Who is Joan Baez, Joan Baez was born on January 9, 1941, on the island of Staten in New York. Started playing guitar at the age of 15Her first opposition to authority was when she was 16, when she refused to leave the high school building during a bombing exercise.In 1958, when she was only 17 years old, they moved to Boston with her parents and two sisters from Palo Alto.Joan Baez studied at Boston University’s Applied Fine Arts Department.
