1) There are only two men who serve as the king’s hand for 3 different kings in Westeros history: Tywin Lannister and Viserys II Targaryen.
Tywin Lannister / Aerys II (Mad King), Joffrey Baratheon, Tommen Baratheon
Viserys II Targaryen / Aegon III, Daeron I, Baelor I and then, he has become the King.
2) Daenerys looked at Daario while marrying Hizdahr and said, “I wish Daario kidnap me, fight like Rhaegar fought for Lyanna.” he thought.
(In the last section of the book, Dany who fancied for Daario for countless times slept with him on the last night before marrying to Hizdahr.)
3) Queen Margaery arrested by Faith for fornication wanted Faith to judge her instead of being judged by a fight.
(We don’t know which one is true but these are the claims offered to Faith. And it is something else that Queen Margaery let herself go to Faith rather than fighting.)
4) Brienne of Tarth was a virgin.
Her father wanted to wed Brienne but she said to her father, “I can only follow the demands of a man who can beat me in a duel”. Brienne duels with a man who wants to marry her because of his father’s inheritance and Brienne wins. And she brakes 3 bones of the man.
5) On the contrary to the TV show, Robb Stark is married to Jeyne Westerling in the book.
Jeyne, who was not brought to the Red Wedding and stayed in Riverrun, is still alive and it is not known whether she is pregnant from Robb. Jeyne is with her family at Westerling. If she is pregnant, she might bear a Stark child.
(Robb is married to someone called Talisa in the TV show. She was not noble and she died in the show. We don’t know what will happen in the book and we don’t want to give too much hope but Jeyne was leaking information to her mother and her mother was making her drink something to be pregnant from Robb.)
6) Samwell Tarly can go to the Wall even though he is not noble because of his father.
Sam’s father Randyll Tarly is someone who cares for his family like Tywin. He does not like his son Sam who does not show his warrior side. When Sam grows up and Randyll gets old, he thinks that he cannot use or swing heavy swords like House Tarly’s Heartbreak.
He thinks he soon is worthless and he wants him to join the Night’s Watch. He planned to raise his younger son Dickon better. When Sam did not accept that, Randyll claimed that he will hurt Sam in the next hunt and make him suffer. Sam was afraid, he decided to join the Night’s Watch and walked away to the Wall.
7) Eddard Stark never fought in a tournament throughout his life.

When King Robert I Baratheon came to Winterfell to declare Ned as Hand of the King, Jaime Lannister told Ned Stark that he wanted to face him at the tournament when he became Hand of the King in an indifferent language. Ned said, “I don’t fight in tournaments because I don’t want people to know what I can do when I fight in real life.”
8) Jorah Mormont beat Jaime Lannister’ in a tournament.
In honor of the suppression of the Greyjoy Rebellion, Mormont won first place by defeating Jaime Lannister in the final in the tournament held at Lannisport. The queen of love and beauty gave her crown to Lynesse Hightower and soon Mormont and Lynesse married in Lannisport.
Lynesse resembles Daenerys Targaryen. It is believed that Jorah’s love for Dany comes from here.

9) After Renly Baratheon declared himself as the King, he created Rainbow Guardians to protect the King.
What happened to them when Renly died:
- Lord Commander / Sir Loras Tyrell / became king’s guard in the book. When he was taking Dragonstone, hot oil was poured on him. He was seriously wounded, died on the series.
- Red / Sir Robar Royce / He was killed by Loras because he couldn’t protect his king
- Orange / Sir Bryce Caron / He joined Stannis and died on Blackwater.
- Yellow / Sir Emmon Cuy / He was killed by Loras because he couldn’t protect his king
- Blue / Brienne of Tarth / She was in the tent at the time of Renly’s death, she was a suspect and she fled.
- Green / Sir Guyard Morringen / He joined Stannis and died on Blackwater.
- Purple / Sir Parmen Crane / He joined to Stannis and he is a captive in Highgarden.
(Red Robar and Yellow Emmon saw Renly was dead when they entered the tent. Brienne and Catelyn were in there and they attacked Brienne. Catelyn convinced them Brienne was not the murdered. Brienne ran away but Loras who came to the tent at that moment killed Red Robar and Yellow Emmon.)

- Renly Baratheon / He called Lord Mace Tyrell as the hand of the king.
- Aegon Targaryen / He called Jon Connington as the hand of the king.
13) One of the most desperate times of Westeros history: Great Spring Breakout
This is a large epidemic that started during King Daeron II Targaryen’s time and caused the most deaths in the City of the Kings. It is said that 1 out of every 10 people died. Even noble people died even though they took all the precautions.
14) The Iron Throne was made by forging the fire of Balerion the Black Horror about a thousand swords that Aegon the Conqueror gathered from prisoners during the conquest.
