Bender Bending Rodríguez, or simply Bender, is one of the primary characters in the animated television series “Futurama,” created by Matt Groening and David X. Cohen.
Bender is a robot who was manufactured in Tijuana, Mexico, and his model number is 22. His functions include bending girders, which is why his full name includes “Bending.” Throughout the series, however, Bender is seen doing a wide range of jobs and tasks, many of which have little to do with bending. He works at the intergalactic delivery company Planet Express, where he is a friend and roommate to Fry, the show’s main character.
