Four-eared Ankara cat Midas took over Instagram and loved by everyone around the world…
Four-eared cat Midas was a surprise for the people around him with his tongue out and a heart-shaped mark on his stomach. Midas was born as a stray cat in the backyard of a family from Ankara and the cat attracted attention from the world with an impressive 125,000 followers on Instagram.
The unique look of the cat comes from a genetic mutation that caused a second set of ears and incorrect jaw occlusion. But Midas continues to grow despite his differences. Reuters reported that Veterinary Reşat Nuri Aslan said the cat is in good health, had no problem with hearing and all ears are connected to ear canal.
Midas has five siblings and it immediately attracted the attention of the Canis Döşemeci who adopted him. Döşemeci said, “We never thought of buying a cat, we wanted to save a car from the street and we wanted to adopt it”.
The name Midas comes from the King in Green mythology that turns everything gold with a simple touch. King Midas was able to turn anything he touches into gold as well as his donkey ears.
If all of these are not enough for you to love Midas, he is not afraid of showing his heart-shaped white mark on his black stomach.
Midas is not the only living being with an addition or bizarre organ. A dog named Narwhal was found in a rescue operation in 2019 with a tail on his head. On the same year, another dog with two mouths and one ear was found. The dog had broken teeth inside the second mouth. These were removed and the puppy was called Toad and he seems to have a healthy and happy life…
