Thin Lizzy Facts: Thin Lizzy was an Irish rock band formed in Dublin in 1969. Led by the charismatic and talented frontman, bassist, and songwriter Phil Lynott, the band achieved international success and acclaim for their unique blend of hard rock, folk influences, and Lynott’s storytelling lyrics.

Thin Lizzy’s early sound was characterized by twin lead guitar harmonies, a driving rhythm section, and Lynott’s soulful vocals. The band released their debut album, “Thin Lizzy,” in 1971, but it wasn’t until the mid-1970s that they gained widespread recognition with the release of their albums “Jailbreak” (1976) and “Bad Reputation” (1977).

1- Thin Lizzy are a hard rock band formed in Dublin, Ireland in 1969

3- Phil Lynott died on January 4th 1986, aged 36. The official cause of death was “multiple internal abscesses causing blood poisoning leading to kidney, liver and heart failure.”
