The Akuma Kun TV series is an adaptation of the manga of the same name by Shigeru Mizuki. The series was produced by Toei Animation and directed by Fumitoshi Oizaki. The series was released worldwide on Netflix on November 9, 2023.
The series follows the story of Akuma Kun, a boy raised by demons, and his half-human partner, Mephisto III, as they work as paranormal investigators to solve various murder and mysteries. The series is an updated and gritty take on the same mythos, and is set about 30 years after the previous anime.
