Jimi Hendrix Jamming Acoustic Version Of “Hound Dog” Backstage 1969

On February 18, 1969, The Jimi Hendrix Experience played a show at The Royal Albert Hall in London, England. Here’s a cool photograph of the band amid soundcheck that day.



Unexpectedly, the most stunning thing that happened that day was not in front of an audience amid the show. It was backstage, when Jimi Hendrix picked up  acoustic guitar and began sticking for a little group.




With his sweetheart Monika Dannemann standing front and center, Jimi tunes up and tears into an astonishing variant of “Hound  Dog”. It’s so great you may need to watch it a couple times. Look at it
