Surprise Elder Scrolls game is out!

The Elder Scrolls: Castles is out for Android. Developed as a castle defense simulation, the game brings Tamriel to mobile.

Bethesda has been focusing all its attention on Starfield in recent months. This means that Elder Scrolls fans will have to wait a while longer for the new game. However, in a surprise move from Bethesda, The Elder Scrolls: Castles, a new mobile game.

The Elder Scrolls: Castles released for Android
Bethesda has quietly released the next mobile game in The Elder Scrolls series. Elder Scrolls: Castles is now available exclusively on the Google Play Store for Android users. The mobile game brings the fantasy series to smartphones and tablets with a castle simulation format reminiscent of Fallout Shelter from 2015.

In Castles, players will take on the role of the ruler of a Tamriel castle. Players will need to manage resources, assign tasks to citizens, craft weapons and armor, and protect their land from enemies such as dragons. Players will also be able to customize and upgrade the castle.

Like Fallout Shelter, there will be both real-time and turn-based gameplay. There will be turn-based gameplay when sending characters on missions or fighting invaders, but in-fortress missions will be conducted in real-time.

Players will be able to recruit characters from well-known Elder Scrolls races such as Khajiit and Argonians. Achievement defenses will open up new areas while improving the kingdom.

Fallout Shelter was a huge success by bringing the post-apocalyptic Fallout world to mobile. Castles aims to repeat this format with the world of Tamriel. Castles is only available on Android for now, and it is unclear when it will come to iOS.
