November 18, 2017 Malcolm Young Died

NOVEMBER 18, 2017 – Guitarist MALCOLM YOUNG (b. January 6, 1953 in Glasgow, Scotland as Malcolm Mitchell Young) died at age 64 after suffering a three-year long bout with dementia. He was survived by his brother and bandmate Angus and sister, Margaret; his wife O’Linda; children, Cara and Ross; son-in-law, Josh; and three grandchildren. Young had been suffering with dementia for the past three years, an illness that forced his retirement from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-inducted band he founded with his brother Angus Young in 1973. The Young brothers had just lost their older brother George Young, the Easybeats guitarist and AC/DC’s longtime producer, on October 22nd at the age of 70.
