Photograph courtesy of Jerry Schatzberg.

Identified by Schatzberg as Nat Hentoff. Rick Danko on the right with his head turned. Backstage at Carnegie Hall, October 1, 1965.

This photo is from the Jim Marshall archives

That’s Nat Hentoff on the left. It’s a Jerry Schatzberg photo. Hentoff is identified by the caption in Schatz’s “Thin Wild Mercury” book.

A month later during the NYC blackout he showed up at Paul’s apartment with Brian Jones after they were stuck in the confusion downtown

I was with Paul during the blackout. We walked th the Kettle Of Fish where Dylan was hosting a private party. Dylan saw Paul and let us in. After the party we followed Bob and Brian back to the Chelsea Hotel where songs were swapped.

Maria (daughter of Sara Lownds) … just like a little girl. – (backstage) Mineola, Long Island, NY – Fall’65.

It looks as though Dylan is dressed in a similar suit to the one he was wearing in the photograph of him with Maria (daughter of Sara Lownds), credited as backstage Mineola, Long Island, NY – Fall 1965 in the Café
