Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell was born on December 18, 2001, in Los Angeles, California. She grew up in a family deeply involved in the arts. Her parents, Maggie Baird and Patrick O’Connell, were both actors and musicians, and they encouraged creativity and self-expression in their children.
From a young age, Billie and her older brother, Finneas O’Connell, were immersed in music. They were homeschooled, which allowed them the flexibility to explore their interests fully. Finneas, a talented musician himself, collaborated with Billie on her early music, producing and co-writing many of her songs.
Billie Eilish’s musical journey began quite early. She was part of the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus and had an interest in dancing and horseback riding as well. However, it was her passion for singing and songwriting that eventually took center stage.
