Some of the earliest setlists (playlists) were taped to the top of Bob’s guitar. He once talked about going around and copying songs off other people’s lists. We think he was a bit more prepared for this performance at Gerdes Folk City – 26 Sept 1961 (image rotated).

“…tonight through Sunday night” would suggest Friday, Saturday, Sunday or 12, 13 & 14 January 1962. But did he then go on to play the Monday?

At one time DylanStubs listed these Joe Alper images as 15 January 1962, but now the 15 has been removed.

Bob Dylan – Handwritten Rehearsal Set List

Bob Dylan handwritten set list, made for a tour rehearsal, in ink, marker and pencil, with extensive chord notations. This list was written over a period of time, with Bob Dylan formulating his thoughts about songs he wanted to play. The first third is printed in black and blue ballpoint pen; the second section combines handwriting and printing, and is written in blue felt tip; and the final part is entirely handwritten in pencil. Also unusual is the extensive annotation with Dylan noting the chords for most songs. Most other Dylan set lists are simply a list of songs written at one time, with perhaps one or two songs with chord notations. (Dylan’s handwriting is erratic at best, often veering from handwriting to printing and back again. As you can see from this, even over a short period of time, it can look as if it was written by different people. But this is all Dylan’s handwriting.)

A set list handwritten by Bob Dylan in black sharpie pen, featuring songs such as “Lay Lady Lay”, “Aint Me Babe”, “Rolling Stone” and “Blowin (In The Wind)”. The name “Cezar” appears on the upper right corner as this set list was given to Dylan’s long time friend and guitar technician Cesar Diaz. Measures 8.5″ x 11″, very good condition with a 3″ tear along the border on the upper left side.

Bob Dylan has handwritten this 1992 concert set list from his “Never-Ending Tour,” with songs including “Tangled Up (In Blue), “Baby Blue,” “Just Like a Woman,” and “Blowin in The Wind,” in black sharpie pen on 11″ x 8.5″ yellow legal paper.

Is this 25 March 1992? Cezar Diaz was no longer with the band, but is again a guitar technician.
