When Elvis was born in Mississippi on January 8, 1935, the son of Gladys and Vernon, his parents named him Elvis Aaron Presley.

His mother Gladys was a sewing machine operator and his father Vernon was a low-wage worker in the fields. Sometimes he was a truck driver. They met, fell in love and got married on June 17, 1933.

Vernon was imprisoned with a tragicomic story. He had $ 8 in debt and the reason he went to jail was fraud. It was 1938 when this incident happened and Elvis was only 3 years old. He was too small to be aware of many things.

Elvis was only 10 years old. Mississipi – participated in a song contest at the Alabama Fair and Dairy show. This was Elvis’ first performance. There was no quiet boy on the stage. He sang the song “Old Shep” with the cowboy outfits she wore.
