Hungarian-descended US singer Halsey announced that she had a DNA test and she was 11% Turkish as her Turkish fans recommended her to eat baklava in Turkey.
Hungarian-descended US singer Halsey or Ashley Nicolette Frangipane shared a baklava photo on her Instagram with “I am becoming a master in homemade baklava” caption.
Halsey’s post got a lot of likes and a lot of Turkish fans commented.
Halsey couldn’t resist a Turkish fan’s “I recommend you to eat baklava in Turkey” message on Twitter and said:
“I grew up thinking I was part Hungarian. But I did a DNA test and it turns out I’m not too much Hungarian, I am actually Turkish! Only 11% but enough to love baklava”
After this explanation, Halsey got a lot of messages inviting her to Turkey.

She then shared a photo of a coffee mug with the name of a Turkish humor magazine in the ‘stories’ section of her Instagram page. This situation led to rumors that the famous singer was in Turkey. Halsey was at the top of Turkey’s trend topic on Twitter.
Later, Halsey made another post on her Instagram account and confirmed that she was in Turkey with this post. Because there was also a market in Turkey in the photo.
Halsey shared with her followers that she drank Turkish coffee and had fortune telling.
Halsey had announced that she was 11 percent Turkish as a result of the DNA test she had done a while ago.
