Masters of the Universe: Revolution animated series has been announced. Netflix is preparing to return to the land of Eternia with a new animated production.
Revelation, the animated series about the new adventures of He-Man and Skeletor, began airing in 2021 and lasted a total of 2 seasons. The production, which received mostly negative reviews, ended its story; At that time, work was also started on a live-action He-Man movie. However, the live-action project, which spent 30 million dollars, was shelved due to expenses before it could be brought to the audience.
Now comes a new move from Netflix that shows that the platform will not give up on He-Man easily. At the Drop 01 event, Masters of the Universe: Revolution, the first trailer from the new He-Man animated series was released.
The teaser features action-packed scenes pitting Hem-Man against his iconic foe Scare Glow.
In the first look video, Scare Glow, voiced by Tony Todd, puts up a fight against He-Man, voiced by Chris Wood. In this fight, Scare Glow transforms into a kind of spider and can move extremely fast.
The animated series will be written by Kevin Smith, who also serves as executive producer of the project. The story once again centers around He-Man’s efforts to protect Eternia from the forces of evil.
Masters of the Universe: Revolution animated series will be a sequel to Revelation, which aired in 2021.
In addition to Wood and Todd, Revolution’s voice cast includes Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones) as Duncan, Melissa Benoist (Supergirl) as Teela, Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) as Majestra, Alicia Silverstone (Clueless) as Queen Marlena, Mark Hamill (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) as Skeletor and Meg Foster as Motherboard.
Even though Netflix has canceled the live-action project, it hints that it will spend more time in the land of Eternia.
Masters of the Universe: Revolution animated series will take its place in the Netflix library in 2024.
