Avatar: Fire and Ash film, the curious wait continues. While James Cameron’s famous sci-fi series is preparing to face the audience with its third step, the D23 event hosted new details from the production.

At Disney’s D23 Brazil event in Brazil this weekend, concept design images from James Cameron’s new Avatar film Fire and Ash were shared.

Avatar, which started its journey on the white screen in 2009, expanded its universe with a sequel years later and turned into a series of 5 films. While the first step of the adventure achieved a box office gross of $ 2.7 billion, the second film, released in 2022, made a great impression with a gross of $ 2.3 billion.

The series is about the epic struggle of the blue-skinned Na’vi people living on the planet Pandora against humanity’s ambitions and efforts to seize natural resources. While the second step of the adventure invites viewers under the waters, the third film will introduce fans to a Na’vi tribe of fire origin.

Avatar: Fire and Ash Film to Introduce New Na’vi Tribes

At the D23 Expo last summer, it was announced that the film would be called Avatar: Fire and Ash. Now, concept designs with details from the fire and air tribes have been shared with curious fans.

Concept art by Dylan Cole, Zachary Berger and Steve Messing features flying vehicles, striking landscapes, Ikrans, large dragon-like aircraft native to Pandora, and a village of fire and ash Na’vi.

According to details shared at D23 Brazil, the fire tribe is described as “a reflection of the worst side of the Na’vi peoples”.

In a previous statement, Cameron said that viewers can expect “a crazy adventure with more emotional risks than ever before”.

“We’re going into challenging territory. There are new characters and you will hate one of them. New cultures, environments, biomes and more Pandora.”

Preparations for the fourth and fifth films of the series are also underway. 70-year-old James Cameron stated that he wanted to direct the next two films as long as he was not “hit by a bus”.
