“Call me, Bob Dylan .. please!”

"Call me, Bob Dylan .. please!"

This musical performance piece is conceptualized and directed by Nora Somaini. With the help of the of the Bremer Shakespeare Company ensemble members, Svea Auerbach, Tim Lee, Peter Lüchinger, Michael Meyer, Markus Seuß, Nora brings to life the inner turmoil of being a prolific creative. And who knows better about creative proficiency than our beloved William Shakespeare? As the ‘Bob Dylan’ inside all of us struggles with fame, fortune, God, emotions, and desire, we come back to the realization that these struggles are as old as time. Perhaps we can allow those who went before us light the way… What do Bob Dylan and William Shakespeare have in common? Prolific Creativity!
Dylan’s latest award, the 2016 Nobel Prize for Literature, is the inspiration for the Bremer Shakespeare Company’s new production, Call Me, Bob Dylan…please!

“Call me, Bob Dylan .. please!” Is a series of vignettes strung together with music; Most of the music is in German. I therefore suggest an audience member’s German at least a 3 or higher to be able to relax and enjoy the show.
