How will the plot be?
After the 4th season, which ended with the 90s, the series is in the new season, which will be about the decade of the most important events for the royal family. In other words, the story of John Major, who was the prime minister of Britain between 1990-1997, will be included in the series. Also, the separation and subsequent divorce of Princess Diana and Prince Charles in 1992 is another subject to be covered.
When will season 5 end?
Season 5 of The Crown is predicted to end in 1997, the year Princess Diana died in a car accident in Paris. So be prepared for more drama in the new season.
Release date is not clear yet
Unfortunately, the preparations for the 5th season have not started yet. So we will have to wait a long time. While filming is scheduled to begin in June 2021, it seems unlikely that the release date will be before 2022.
