Bon Scott, whose real name was Ronald Belford Scott, was an Australian singer, songwriter, and musician best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band AC/DC. He was born on July 9, 1946, in Forfar, Scotland, and his family emigrated to Australia when he was six years old, settling in Perth.
Bon Scott joined AC/DC in 1974 after the band’s original lead singer, Dave Evans, left the group. With Bon Scott as the frontman, AC/DC achieved significant commercial success and became one of the most influential rock bands of all time.
