Mick Jagger: I don’t plan to leave my fortune to my children

Mick Jagger

Mick Jagger, the lead singer of the Rolling Stones, announced that he does not plan to leave his half-billion-dollar fortune to his children. Jagger, who has 8 children, said, “My children don’t need 500 million dollars to live well.”

Mick Jagger (80), the legendary name of rock music, said in a statement that he does not plan to leave his fortune to his 8 children born from different partnerships.

“THEY DON’T NEED 500 MILLION DOLLARS TO LIVE WELL”

Speaking to The Wall Street Journal, Mick Jagger said, “My kids don’t need 500 million dollars to live well. The money should go to charity. So maybe a favor will be done to the world.”

GROUP MEMBERS TOOK ‘FINANCIAL LESSONS’

Of course, most of Mick Jagger’s fortune comes from his work with the Rolling Stones. In addition, real estate investments and commercials are also among the master musician’s sources of income.

But there is another striking financial situation about the Rolling Stones. The Rolling Stones members do not own the copyrights of their pre-1971 works such as ‘Satisfaction’, ‘Paint it Black’ and ‘Jumpin Jack Flash’. This was a “lesson” that famous musicians learned throughout their careers.

The band members also received millions in royalties from these songs. But that doesn’t mean they own the music. Other music stars like Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon and Sting have sold the rights to their work in recent years. But the members of the Rolling Stones have made no such decision.

FATHER OF 8 CHILDREN

Mick Jagger’s oldest child is 52-year-old Karis, born from his relationship with Marsha Hunt. Mick Jagger also has a 51-year-old daughter, Jade, from Bianca Jagger, the famous model of the time, whom he married in 1971.

Jagger’s most numerous children were born to model Jerry Hall, with whom he had a relationship between 1990 and 1997. From this union, he had four children, Elizabeth, 39, Georgia May, 31, James, 38, and Gabriel, 25.

The veteran musician also has a son, Lucas, now 24, with TV presenter Luciana Morad Gimenez.

Mick Jagger’s youngest child is 6-year-old Deveraux, born to Melanie Hamrick, to whom he is currently engaged.

Mick Jagger has made no secret of the fact that he hopes the legacy of his band, the Rolling Stones, will continue long after he has finished his journey on this earth.
