Castlevania: Nocturne is a new animated television series that premiered on Netflix on September 28, 2023. It is a sequel to the popular Castlevania anime series, which was based on the Konami video game franchise of the same name.
Nocturne is set in France during the French Revolution, and follows the story of Richter Belmont, a descendant of the Belmont family of vampire hunters. Richter must team up with an unlikely group of allies, including a sorceress from the Caribbean and a French revolutionary, to stop a powerful vampire lord from rising to power and destroying the world.
Richter Belmont: “I am Richter Belmont, and I will not let you destroy the world.”
Annette: “I am Annette, and I will fight by your side.”
Saint Germain: “The world is full of darkness, but there is also light. And the light will always triumph over the darkness.”
Carmilla: “I am Carmilla, and I will rule this world.”
The Abbot: “Evil must be punished, even if it means killing the innocent.”
Maria: “No matter how complicated you make it, evil is still evil.”
Vaublanc: “Darkness will come from hell and engulf everything.”
Annette: “The sun is rising, devouring the darkness. It always does.”
Richter Belmont: “I’m not a hero. I’m just a man trying to do the right thing.”
