88-years-old Concha Garcia Zaera who has a different hobby than other old women who knit, grow flowers or raise grandchildren has 247 thousand followers on Instagram. Well, why? She is painting. And only by using Microsoft Paint program. Let’s hear the life and works of this sweet granny.
Most of the grandmother around the world start to grow flowers, cook or knit as they get older. But Spanish Concha Garcia Zaera got a hobby far different than her peers: Drawing. And she is doing this only by using Microsoft Paint.
It is really challenging to professionally use Microsoft Paint and create artwork. But 88-years-old Concha Garcia Zaera has a heart-warming story. Let’s look at some of her paintings and check her adventure to draw with Paint.

Garcia Zaera discovered Microsoft Paint program when her children got a computer for her. Since that day, she is creating amazing artwork on Microsoft Paint. Garcia started to become an expert Paint program user like this:
“I had to take care of my husband because he was sick and I didn’t leave the home that much. I started drawing on Paint. First, I drew houses and add a mountain on the next day. I end up with amazing results as I completed the drawing.”
She is inspired from the postcards send to her husband.
According to Garcia, her imagination is zero. She didn’t design any of the paintings she drew on Paint. Garcia said that she generally inspired from the postcards she bought to her husband and it took around 2 weeks to complete a painting. Of course, she works carefully on her paintings.
This sweet granny started to share her paintings on Facebook like any other granny. But her grandchildren told her to use Instagram instead of Facebook and things got wild as she was able to show them to a lot more people.
She has around 250,000 followers on Instagram.
In her interview to a Spanish radio channel, Garcia said that she took some oil painting classes in the past but she was unable to practice at home because of the smell of the paints. When her past in arts is considered, it is not weird for her to create these artworks on Paint.
She uses Windows 7 version of Paint.
Garcia uses Microsoft Paint to create these beautiful artworks. But which operating system does she use? This sweet nanny said in an interview that she is using Windows 7 which Microsoft no longer offers support since January 2020. As it turns out, she couldn’t give up on Windows 7 which is indispensable for Windows OS users.
