Autonomous driving e-scooter sharing service: Scootbee

Scootbee

Level 4 and Level 5 autonomous vehicles are yet to hit the roads. While the automobile world continues to adopt autonomous vehicle technologies with great competition, the e-scooter world seems to make a smoother transition to this technology. A new name is getting ready to join the e-scooter sharing services, which have been gaining ground in the sharing ecosystem in recent years: Scootbee

The e-scooters to be launched by the Singaporean initiative Scootbee, which takes the same name as its name, aims to be an electric scooter sharing service that uses “Robo-Scooter” with autonomous driving function. Users can call Scootbee, which is ready for use with the application downloaded to the phone, to their location like calling a taxi. As you can see in the video, the autonomous scooter has a self-driving function. The robot e-scooter that comes to the user’s feet can be unlocked with a cell phone. It can then be used like a normal electric scooter.

The biggest feature of “Scootbee” is that it leaves the area automatically after reaching the desired point. The robot scooter automatically switches to the next user. If the remaining battery power is insufficient, it also returns to the service port.

Scootbee is, as it says itself, redefining the concept of ‘mobility’. Do you think an innovative competitor is coming to Lime and Bird, the two dominant names in the market at the moment?
