Honda has shared details about its first electric SUV, the Prologue, which was announced last year. The vehicle, which could put the company in an ambitious position in the electric car race, will be on the roads in 2024.
Japanese automobile giant Honda has been planning to switch to fully electric cars in the coming years, even though it is currently lagging behind its competitors. One of the company’s moves towards this goal was the “Prologue” model, which was first shown last year and whose design was shared. The Prologue was to be the brand’s SUV and high-end electric model.
Honda has finally shared details about the highly anticipated Prologue. The car, which will meet its owners in early 2024, comes with features that will make Honda assertive in electric vehicles.

The Prologue comes with a modern and stylish design. The brand’s first electric SUV is equipped with 21-inch wheels. The car has a length of 192 inches (4.8 meters) and a wheelbase of 121.8 inches (3 meters). Honda says that the Prologue is 20 cm longer and 12 cm wider than another popular SUV, the CR-V.
The new model was developed on General Motors’ Ultium platform. Honda will launch the car in single-engine front-wheel drive and two-engine all-wheel drive variants. It will also come in three trim levels – EX, Touring and Elite.
According to the information, the all-wheel drive version will offer 288 horsepower and 451 nm of torque. There is no information about what kind of values we will see from the single-engine version. However, estimates based on the vehicles on the platform where it is produced are said to produce 210 horsepower and 329 nm torque.

Let’s take a look at the battery and range, which is one of the most curious topics. According to Honda, the Prologue, which comes with an 85 kWh battery, will be able to offer a range of up to 482 kilometers. Let’s say that this figure is for the single-engine version. No information was shared about the two-motor all-wheel drive.
Inside, we are greeted by an 11-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.3-inch infotainment screen. Wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto will also come with the car. Blind spot support, numerous apps, pedestrian detection, wireless charging, sport driving mode, head-up display in Elite trim and many more features will also be included.
The Honda Prologue, whose first deliveries will take place in early 2024, is expected to be available in the US at prices between 45-50 thousand dollars.
