New adult animation from the creator of “BoJack Horseman”

Long Story Short

Raphael Bob-Waksberg has signed with Netflix for his new animated comedy series “Long Story Short”.

From “BoJack Horseman” creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg comes a new Netflix series.

“Long Story Short” will be an adult animated comedy about a family. The official synopsis reads: “It’s about shared history, inside jokes and old wounds. If you’ve ever had a mother, father, sibling, partner or child, this program is for you, and by the way, it wouldn’t kill you to call them, would it?”

Bob-Waksberg will write, serve as showrunner and executive produce the series, which, like BoJack, comes from The Tornante Company. “Long Story Short” will premiere on Netflix in 2025. The announcement comes exactly 10 years after “BoJack Horseman” premiered.

Netflix’s first animated original series for adults, it quickly garnered praise and critical acclaim. Set largely in Hollywood, the story revolved around BoJack Horseman (Will Arnett), an anthropomorphic horse who was a washed-up sitcom star in the 1990s.

Like the new project, BoJack was a Tornante TV production and featured a voice cast of Arnett, Aaron Paul, Paul F. Tompkins, Amy Sedaris and Alison Brie for six seasons.
