“The Shannara Chronicles” is an American fantasy drama television series based on the “Shannara” series of epic fantasy novels written by Terry Brooks. The show, which aired from 2016 to 2017, was created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar.
The series is set in a post-apocalyptic world where civilization has reverted to a medieval state hundreds of years after the destruction of our current world in a chemical and nuclear holocaust called the Great Wars. The world is now home to various races, including Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, and Trolls.
