JANUARY 19, 1967 – Lesley Gore appeared on the Batman TV series, playing Catwoman’s sidekick Pussycat in the first of two episodes. She sang her new single “California Nights” on the first show and “Maybe Now” on the second.In the plot, not much is known about Pussycat except she was a singer at a bar called the Milkshake a go go on Sunset Strip. She was found by Catwoman and recruited as her sidekick because she believed that at 20 years old, Pussycat was over the hill and would never succeed in a singing career.
