Freddie Mercury and Cats

Freddie Mercury was with Mary Austin in the 1970s. It is said that his love for cats first started with Mary buying a cat for her. Mary Austin gifted two cats, Tom and Jerry, to Freddie, and when Freddie went on tour, Mary stayed home to take care of the cats.

You may think it was written to a woman when you first listened to Delilah in their latest album Innuendo from 1991, but Freddie wrote the song for her favorite cat, Delilah.
