In 2008, the band’s soloist Dan Reynolds met with the band’s current guitarist Wayne Sermon in Utah. When Dan Berklee School went to Music school, Wayne graduated from school. The group was fully formed with the participation of Ben McKee, Andrew Tolman, and Brittany Tolman, who joined Dan and Wayne in Las Vegas in the future. All members of the group lived together in Las Vegas and created their first record.
