“The Leftovers” is an American supernatural mystery drama television series that aired on HBO from 2014 to 2017. It was created by Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta and is based on Perrotta’s novel of the same name. The series starts three years after the “Sudden Departure”, a global event in which 2% of the world’s population disappeared without explanation.
