“Daredevil” is a critically acclaimed American television series developed by Drew Goddard for Netflix. The show is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name and is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The series premiered in 2015 and ran for three seasons, ending in 2018.
The series follows Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer with his practice in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of New York City. As a child, Murdock was blinded by a toxic waste spill. While he lost his sight, his other senses were heightened to superhuman sharpness, and he developed a type of radar sense. By day, he uses his abilities in the courtroom to fight for justice. But by night, he takes the law into his own hands as a masked vigilante known as Daredevil, fighting crime and corruption in the city.
