“Seinfeld”, the sitcom that marked an era, may be coming back

Seinfeld Series May Make a Comeback

Seinfeld” may be coming back. Jerry Seinfeld, creator and star of the famous sitcom, made a statement that will excite fans.

The clearest answer to the question “Is Seinfeld coming back?” may have come from Jerry Seinfeld, the creator of the famous sitcom. “Something is going to happen with that finale,” the famous actor said in a recent speech, getting fans excited.

One of the most important series that established the contemporary sitcom genre worldwide, Seinfeld packed 10 Primetime Emmy awards and 173 unforgettable episodes into its journey between 1989 and 1998.

One of the most successful sitcoms in history, Seinfeld’s controversial 1998 finale was watched by more than 76 million viewers. In the finale, which failed to meet the expectations of many viewers, Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld), Elaine Benes (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), George Costanza (Jason Alexander) and Cosmo Kramer (Michael Richards) were put on trial for making jokes about a robbery that took place in front of their eyes and not helping a man in distress.

Throughout the show’s 9-year run, other characters from the series also took the stand and testified against the four. The series ended with the four friends going to jail. After the finale, which received low scores from both viewers and critics, the series team expressed their regrets from time to time.

Seinfeld Series May Make a Comeback to Save the “Finale”

At a recent stand-up show at the Wang Theater in Boston, USA, Jerry Seinfeld hinted to the audience about a comeback that would wrap up what happened in the finale. Jerry told the audience that he had a “little secret” he wanted to reveal to them, but that it was not yet finalized.

Speaking about the finale of the famous production, the artist said the following:

“There’s a little secret I can tell you about the final. But I can’t really tell you because it’s a secret. I can tell you this much. But don’t tell anyone. Something is going to happen with that final. It hasn’t happened yet. And what you’re thinking about, Larry and I were thinking about. So we’ll see what happens together.”

Although the famous artist was tight-lipped about the details of possible collaborations with David, the clearest hints that a new project was on the way were shared during this show.

Jerry Seinfeld, who last appeared on Ellen DeGeneres’ show in 2018, shared some hints about the idea of reviving the beloved comedy, but did not go into further details.

The team had previously come together in various projects
The Seinfeld cast had previously teamed up for a series-within-a-series in Season 7 of HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, with David teaming up for a new finale.

The actors have also collaborated on other projects, most notably the online series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, in which Seinfeld interviewed each of his colleagues in various settings and even went out for coffee with his George Costanza character.

Now the team may return for a more comprehensive sequel adventure. On the other hand, the project in question could also be a “reunion” type of content, which has become increasingly frequent lately. Similar programs were recently signed for The Friends and Harry Potter productions. Time will tell in which format the famous sitcom will return.
