Bryan Adams, born on November 5, 1959, in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, is a renowned Canadian rock musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, and photographer.
Adams’ early life was characterized by travel and exploration. His father, Conrad J. Adams, joined the Canadian Army and later served in the United Nations peacekeeping force, while his mother, Jane Adams, was a bookkeeper. His father’s work took the family to various locations in Europe and the Middle East.
Adams has recalled that his love for music was sparked at an early age when he travelled with his parents. He bought his first guitar at the age of ten and joined a band by the age of 15. He quit school when he was about 16 to focus on his music career and slept on couches of friends while he started writing songs and trying to get a record deal.
In his late teens, Adams started working in the Vancouver music scene, doing background vocals and partaking in recording sessions. The turning point came when he met Jim Vallance in a Vancouver music store. The two started writing together and developed a strong musical partnership that would significantly shape Adams’ career.
