SEPTEMBER 18, 2009 – Leonard Cohen (September 21, 1934 – November 7, 2016) collapsed on stage during a concert at the Luis Puig Velodrome in Valencia in Spain in the middle of his song “Bird On The Wire” in the middle of singing his song “Bird On The Wire” prompting the band to stop playing and rush to help him. A band member told the crowd Cohen had suffered stomach cramps and vomiting fits. Cohen was rushed to the Nueve de Octubre hospital and later discharged after doctors told him he had food poisoning.
